Wanna mind Hump? Check out Wednesday Mind Hump here:http://bdinsanity.blogdrive.com/

"Greetings, humpers! Today is Kitchen Klutzes Of America Day. That means we'll be talking about all the things that can go wrong in the good ol' kitchen."

1. Have you ever cut or burned yourself while cooking? Heck, yeah! Forget "Essence of Emeril" it's essence of JEN!

2. Have you ever put in a wrong ingredient in a dish (sugar instead of salt, for example)? Nope, never done that. I have labeled jars for my salt/sugar.

3. Have you ever dropped, or otherwise ruined, a dish just before serving it? Bonus points if you had a large number of people waiting to eat it. Yes on both accounts. Once I tried to make German potato salad for a family gathering. I forgot about the boiling potatoes and I boiled all the water away, consequently burning the potatoes. I took store-bought salad instead. YUCK! :(

4. In case you aren't a cook - Have you ever had a restaurant make a klutzy move that affected your meal? Tell us about it! I'm a vegetarian, so the only problem I've ever had was having the meat put "on" the dish instead of "on the side".

Happy Wednesday, all!

One time I wanted to make a lemon meringue pie for my then-fiance's family for the first Thanksgiving dinner I ever went to with all of them there (around 20 people!)...and I can't remember what I did to it but the meringue melted and it looked like a gross soup! So I had to bring a store bought coffee cake. Since then I've had much better luck, lol!

E. All of the above...my favorite was putting cloves in the Thanksgiving dressing instead of poultry seasoning...yuch!
