Okay, I know, being a country girl I should LOVE the mere mention of WATERMELON

I don't.

I'm ashamed to admit it, but I just really don't like the taste or texture of this boggy fruit. Everyone I know LOVES watermelon. It's a summertime ritual in our family to sit on my grandparent's front porch, eat watermelon and spit the seeds in the sideyard. I never really got into this because I hate the taste. I'm more of a cantelope chick. And the strange thing is, I DO like watermelon-flavored Jolly Rangers.

So, I banish watermelon to Room 101, for myself only, of course! All you melon-lovers out there need not to fear.

They ARE awfully pretty, though....wouldn't you agree?
