Yes, it is a printing press.

Pop worked setting type for the "Lowndes Signal", a newspaper in Lowndes County, AL.

He also set the type for a book, I believe. I'll ask "The Hubby", to be sure.

Isn't it interesting when you think how big and bulky machines used to be.....My computer printer probably is 100 times the quality of that one and it only takes up a 1 foot square area. Technology!
