When you are lied to? I usually get upset. Honestly, it's according to "who did it" and what it's about.
When you make a mistake? Apologize profusely. I ALWAYS truly mean my apology too. And I'm USUALLY the one who makes the mistake. My temper is like "Donald Duck"!
When you embarrass yourself in public? Try to run and hide. I usually just get up and leave. Or, if I can't, I'll try to "can it".
When you see someone make a fool of themselves? Give them a knowing smile. If I know them, I'll try to "liven the mood". If not, I try to smile politely and nod, knowing I do the same thing all the time!
When you realize you have hurt someone (emotionally)? I genuinely feel really awful. I'm usually more "depressed" than the one hurt. I try to apologize and "make things right". If I can't, then I apologize, take full responsibility and try to give the other person the space and time they need. Hurting someone is so hard for me. I don't want to hurt anyone, but, alas, I am merely human.

I'd be more embarassed if I got up and left because more eyes would be on me. I have social issues after all *lol*.
I agree...but, what else can ya do?
Sticky situations, you know?
