Well, as you guys know, Friday was "The Hubby" and mine's 5th wedding anniversary. Sometimes I can hardly BELIEVE it's already been 5 years! WHOA!
Thursday evening, we were invited to my sister, Candice and her husband, Steven's house for a celebratory dinner.
We had baked chicken, potato salad, steamed carrots, baked beans, bread and chocolate cake for dessert. Candice is an excellent cook. You can tell from the pic that we had a wonderful meal!
We played "Cranium" after dinner and had a blast! I never knew Mike could show out at serenades. We all had a wonderful time playing, drinking coffee and talking. We both REALLY enjoyed it!
They also adopted two kittens from a member of their church. A blackish kitty, they named Starbucks and a yellow tabby they named Parker. Sadly, Parker was killed by a stray cat in their neighborhood, Sunday evening. It was nice playing with them, but it's kind of sad looking at their pictures now. :(
Friday, was our actual anniversary. We exchanged gifts that morning. Mike gave me the sweetest card in the world, some chocolates (which I love) and a froggie. I also received a dozen red roses. Don't you think they're beautiful?

Sadly, I had no access to monetary tender, so I made Mike's gift. It's a collage of some of the digital pics I have of us, together. I framed it and told him to put it on his desk at work...Go figure. I also got him a card... As always, He showed out on me and I didn't do so good for him.

My parents gave Mike and I two tickets for a play that was performed at Faulkner University's Dinner Theatre. The play was entitled "Greater Tuna" and it was very nice. It was nice to be in such an "intimate" setting while the play was being performed. Here's a pic of us right before we went in:
Monday, we had a Memorial Day cook-out here at Casa Bowen. Gea-Mom and Bob came. As did Candice and Steven. Jerry, Peytie and Jennifer came by, also. I think we all had a great visit in our tiny, cozy house. YAY!
It was a wonderful anniversary/Memorial Day weekend. I hope we do it again next year. YAY!
