Five on Friday for 5/18/07

Maternal Instincts

1. If you're out shopping and hear a baby cry, what's your first thought? My hubby says I have "babydar" (like radar). If I hear one, I will wheel the buggy around to go and find it. It doesn't matter to me.....newborns, toddlers, any child under the age of, say, 13, isn't immune to my "babydar". I wish I could have several!

2. Are the passengers in your car required to buckle their seat belts regardless of age? Of course! I won't drive otherwise.... (I've ALMOST broken hubby of riding "beltless"!)

3. Do you ever feel the need to clean/straighten your loved ones?
Yes, and I know it HAS to annoy them...especially hubby. With your own spit? I hate to admit it, but only with hubby. How embarrassing! (He's such a saint to put up with me!)

4. Some people are described as having "a face only a mother could love." What people or things in your life do you love unconditionally? Better off asking what I DON'T love. lol.....I, of course, love all my family and friends. I truly love each one. There are things I may not like about someone, but regardless, I still love them! My kitty-cat Cleo is my baby, since we're childless at the moment. I feel a strong love for everyone. All of God's creations are worth loving, even if they don't always act like it. My hubby, of course, has been and always will be my first and only true love. (in a passionate, woman/man way)

5. In what ways are you like your mother? Well, I inherited her love of reading/painting, her ability of "throw something together" for a meal, her thirst for knowledge, her love of decorating, her love of jewelry, her beautiful brown hair, her "love of family", etc. What habits, catch phrases, and tricks have you picked up from her? She says "YARHARFAR!" and I picked that up, she always says people are: "cute/pretty/etc. -type people, like her and Daddy, I have to hug/kiss people "hello" and "goodbye", she sanitizes her hands with hand sanitizer she keeps in the car and so do I, we both love "doctored up" spaghetti sauce, chocolate and Johnny Depp :).
My "Gea-Mom" is DEFINITELY one of my role models. If I could be "half" the woman she is, I'd be happy. I have the utmost respect and love for her. She means so very much to me.
