3x Thursday: 05/31/y2k+7: Why?2
1. Why do you think western medicine sucks so bad? I believe our medical problems steam from "the lining of other's pockets".From the insurance companies to mis-diagnosis to being shifted from doctor to doctor until they figure out what's wrong with you? This could be avoided if we had tougher M-CATS and didn't hire "fly-by-night" physicians who only care about money. It's all about profits! Do you think it might be worse in the US than in other countries? Again, money. In other countries, I don't know for sure, but to be a physician is different than it is here in America. Why/why not? The "red tape" here in our country really limits what physicians can and are willing to do.
2. For those of us not growing up in Beaver's house, why do we fear we're going to turn into our parents? I believe the old saying "you want better for your children than you had". What greater motivation is there than to be a better parent for your own children? How do we not do that? I say strive to always "look before you leap". Everyone's human and we all make mistakes, even parents. But, learning from mistakes, and relying on God's help, being the parents you want for your children CAN be achieved.
3. Why do you think we as a civilization can't seem to get along with one another? I believe we are the way we are because it makes us feel powerful. I seems so easy for us to single out those who are different. Weaker, different skin color, poorer, etc., these seem to be the basis of our discrimination for eternity regardless of time, place, or social situations. We have been given a perfect example to follow, but it means giving up selfishness and pride. We don't want to do that. Getting out of one's selfish comfort zone is hard, but DEFINITELY worth doing. If we all strove to be more "Christ-like", the world would be better, guaranteed. It's very hard to do with so many evil influences invading us, daily, however. It's not "easy" for Christians, but God's help does make it seem more "do-able".
