1. What do you think of all-time high gas prices? They are WAY to high! I honestly think it's wrong to have to sell my first born child just so I can "fill 'er up". Do you think it's really due to supply & demand, or more towards Big Oil making money as a direct result of what is going on in the Middle East in general? I think it might me a combination of both. Today(r) does a segment on "Today at the Pump" daily. Every day we find out that prices are steadily rising. Almost $4 a gallon in California.
Anyway, last week, the CEO of some big oil company said it was "supply & demand". We supposedly have a limited supply of crude oil and "it takes time and money" to convert the oil into gasoline. I believe this is true.
But I also believe that the Oil companies don't mind "lining THEIR pockets", while we little guys struggle just to make it. I mean, when you're a BILLIONaire, what does it matter to you if the "lower-class" has to pay $4 a gallon? They probably don't even pay for their gas anyway!
Also, I'm certain the oil companies are profiting from the war. Nothing better than a limited supply of what everyone needs to be mobile, to increase "supply and demand".
2. Do you have a prediction for the outcome of the Iraq War? What is it? Why? If you don't have a prediction, why not? I tend to agree with "The Hubby" on this one. We got into this war under false and untrue pretenses. We have made such a "mess" of things, we now feel obligated to "clean it up". I don't think we'll EVER be able to sufficiently "clean up" our "mess", regardless of who our leader is.
I believe certain people were trying to be "tough" and ended up looking "weak" in the world's view.
I think of us as the bully on the playground. We act big and tough. We even knock down a few other "bullies" in our path, but ULTIMATELY we just need to be respected for who we are, NOT who we "beat up".
I do, however, have the UTMOST respect for our soldiers in uniform. Without them, we would have and would be nothing. God Bless them all!
3. Do you think that music has suffered at the hands of technology? How so/how not? <This question seems different from the previous two, to me.
Anywho, yes I do. It really doesn't matter how well (or awful) someone sings/plays an instrument. All the "kinks" can be and are "worked out" by the computer.
See Ben Folds' song: Rockin' the Sub Burbs

Fixes all my #$%^ty tracks...
These Days
Where are the days of garage bands who recorded their off-key singing and feedback? Sure it was "raw" and that's how music should be, in MY opinion.
